    Ed Sheeran performs on Ellis Island #EdonEllis #EdSheeranGMA

    As we join you in awaiting #EdSheeranGMA on Friday, we know he’s going to put on a great show. After all, he lit up the stage at #EdonEllis, his concert here at Ellis Island last summer, in a show presented by CBSRadio. {We thank Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Radio.com for sharing these images of Ed Sheeran’s concert with us}

    Ed Sheeran’s concert on Ellis Island thrilled the 300-400 fans who braved the rain to share in this one-of-a-kind concert as part of his “Multiply Days” appearances– a number of intimate performances in a single day – around the globe in anticipation of his album, x (pronounced ‘multiply’). “Ed On Ellis” was planned as the largest in a series of shows during “Multiply Day” in New York City and served as the conclusion to this thrilling extravaganza.

  • A Gorgeous Ron Ben-Israel Cake from an Ellis Island Wedding

    A Ron Ben-Israel wedding cake at a recent Ellis Island wedding

    We’re in awe of this Ron Ben-Israel wedding cake from last weekend’s Ellis Island Wedding. The jaw-dropping detail of the New York City skyline is splendid, and we thank Ron Ben-Israel and his team for sharing this gorgeous image with us.

    We’ll soon feature this Real Wedding on Ellis Island, but we wanted to give you a ‘taste’ of the spectacular cake that made its appearance here at our landmark wedding venue.

  • Statue of Liberty-themed Centerpieces

    We’ve written about Crate and Barrel’s Statue of Liberty-themed centerpiece in the past, and we’re excited to see it featured in their Memorial Day offerings!

    Crate and Barrel calls their Lady Liberty bust a’ touch of Pop Art whimsy,’ and we couldn’t agree more with how ideally and artistically the glossy white design works on wedding guest tables, and also as terrific accents for your custom bars in our Registry Room or outside on our grounds. A Statue of Liberty centerpiece can also hold court over your wedding’s dessert bar, allowing you to bring even more patriotic style to your party with star-shaped candy bowls (we spotted these in Crate and Barrel’s Memorial Day collection as well, along with firework-themed tumblers, melamine dinnerware, trays and other outdoor party gear.)

    Star Shaped Candy Bowls In Wedding NYC

    A big trend in weddings — not just in budget weddings but in NYC luxury weddings as well — is to include wedding decor that looks amazing in your wedding venue, and that you’ll then bring home to display in your house, for your own garden parties and celebrations. We know you’re bringing home wonderful memories of your Ellis Island wedding or Liberty Island celebration…and we know you’ll love the trend of including wedding decor items that will remind you of your big day every day in the future.

    Weddings on Ellis Island often feature Statue of Liberty-themed invitations and printed decor. Since Lady Liberty is an honored guest at each of our historic venue’s weddings, it’s wonderful when our wedding couples feature her on their invitations. When guests see the Statue of Liberty as the invitations motif, they know they’re headed to a stunning location with jaw-dropping views, and the rich history of Ellis Island and Lady Liberty making your big day all the more special.

    Here is an invitations suite from one of our wedding couples:
